Cut Packhouse Operative – Runcton

Salary: £26,832.00 per year (£12.90 per hour) Contract: Full-time

📅 Next Assessment Centre: 14th July 📅 Next Induction Dates: 27th July & 12th August

Are you motivated, reliable and eager to join a fast-paced team in a thriving food manufacturing environment? We’re seeking Cut Packhouse Operatives at our Runcton site to help us deliver high-quality fresh herbs daily.

This role offers the chance to build skills, develop within a supportive environment, and contribute to a team focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.


About the Role

As a Cut Packhouse Operative, you will as a vital part of our production lines, ensuring top-tier standards in every task.

Responsibilities

  • Grading, weighing, and packing herbs to the highest standards
  • Ensuring timely fulfillment of all customer orders
  • Adhering to food safety, health & safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
  • Setting up and assisting with the production line during your shift
  • Inspecting labels, weights, seals, and pack quality
  • Reporting any issues to your Line Leader, Machine Operator, or Shift Manager
  • Maintaining cleanliness through "clean as you go" principles
  • Completing accurate online recording requirements
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives on site
  • Encouraging team motivation and participating in ongoing training and development

Requirements

Essential

✅ Motivated, results-driven team player ✅ Excellent verbal and written communication skills ✅ Awareness of Health & Safety requirements ✅ High personal hygiene standards ✅ Willingness to follow instructions and learn new tasks ✅ Own transport (as the site lacks public transport access)

Desirable (but not essential)

🌿 Previous experience in food manufacturing 🍽️ Food safety qualification
