We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cutover and hypercare lead, who can take responsibility for driving the overall design, and execution of cutover plans, full dress rehearsal activities, and hypercare, working across multiple workstreams and with the Systems Integrator partner with the intention of creating a smooth go-live. As a dynamic, self-starter, the individual will have the ability to communicate with, and influence senior workstream leaders, to coordinate activities in a high-pressure environment. The cutover lead, will act as a bridge between the programme team, and the sites – in doing so ensure that all stakeholders are clear on roles and responsibilities and activities during cutover.
What you'll be doing:
Lead the end-to-end planning, governance, and execution of all cutover and hypercare activities across the S/4HANA implementation programme Develop and maintain the integrated cutover strategy, plans, checkpoints, dependencies, and readiness criteria across all programme workstreams Coordinate and manage all cutover activities with the Systems Integrator, internal programme teams, business functions, third-party vendors, and operational sites Define and govern cutover scope, sequencing, entry/exit criteria, contingency planning, rollback approaches, and decision-making processes Drive the successful execution of full dress rehearsals, mock cutovers, and go-live simulations, ensuring lessons learned are captured and incorporated into future iterations Establish and manage cutover governance forums, status reporting, RAID management, and executive-level communications throughout the go-live period Ensure all business, technical, data, infrastructure, security, and operational readiness activities are aligned and completed in accordance with agreed timelines Act as the primary coordination point between programme teams and manufacturing/distribution sites to ensure clear understanding of cutover activities, responsibilities, impacts, and escalation routes Work closely with workstream leads to identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact go-live stability or business continuity Coordinate business readiness activities to ensure operational teams are prepared for transition to the new SAP environment Lead command centre and hypercare planning, including support models, incident management processes, triage approaches, escalation pathways, and service level expectations. Oversee hypercare execution following go-live, ensuring rapid issue resolution, effective stakeholder communication, and smooth transition into business-as-usual support Monitor and report on cutover and hypercare progress, providing regular updates to programme leadership and steering committees Ensure appropriate documentation, auditability, governance controls, and compliance standards are maintained throughout cutover and hypercare activities Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making within a high-pressure, time-critical delivery environment Champion a culture of proactive planning, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the programme

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience leading cutover and hyercare activities for large-scale SAP S/4 HANA transformation programmes Strong understand of ERP deployment methodologies, release management, and operational readiness Experience working within complex manufacturing, supply chain, or FMCG environments Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams Strong programme governance, risk management and communication skills Ability to operate effectively under pressure and manage critical go-live activities within tight timelines Experience coordinating Systems Integrators and third-party delivery partners Excellent organisational, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification ‘Big four’ consulting experience would be an advantage S4 Hana / SAP programme experience Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Ability to travel to sites across the UK as required
