Development Underwriter – Cyber

Leeds | Manchester | Birmingham

About the Team

Our UK broker channel is the largest and fastest-growing area of the business, with strong momentum across broker engagement, pipeline, and new business volumes. To support continued growth, the broker market is segmented into strategic, key, development, and connect partners-allowing for a more targeted and effective approach. As part of this growth, we are looking to hire a Development Underwriter to support the expansion of a Cyber portfolio, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver against ambitious income and growth targets.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building and developing a growing Cyber book. You will be responsible for underwriting complex risks, managing broker relationships, and driving new business through an aligned panel of brokers. You’ll work closely with the Head of Trading, Head of Cyber, and Broker Development Director to execute the strategic plan, while being highly visible in the market and recognised as a trusted partner to brokers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
