Cyber Information Assurance Manager

Location: UK Wide (Hybrid) – Candidates must be based within approximately one hour of an office location (excluding Newcastle)

Salary: Up to £84,900 (London) | Up to £77,200 (Manchester & Regional UK)

Security Clearance: Eligibility for BPSS and SC Clearance required (5 years' continuous UK residency)

The Opportunity

We're supporting one of the world's largest technology and consulting organisations as they continue to expand their Cyber Security practice.

This opportunity sits within a high-performing Information Assurance team, where you'll lead complex governance, risk and compliance (GRC) engagements, advise senior stakeholders on cyber risk, and help shape security strategies across large-scale transformation programmes.

This is an ideal role for an experienced cyber security professional with strong Information Assurance or GRC expertise who enjoys combining strategic consulting with hands-on delivery.

The Role

As a Cyber Information Assurance Manager, you'll lead assurance activities across a range of client environments, providing expert guidance on cyber risk, governance and compliance while delivering high-quality security assurance services.

You'll work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure security is embedded throughout programmes and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cyber security assurance engagements across multiple client projects.
  • Identify, assess and communicate cyber security risks to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct assurance reviews against recognised security standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop, review and implement cyber security policies, standards and governance processes.
  • Manage assurance lifecycle activities within operational and project environments.
  • Produce high-quality assurance reports, risk assessments and executive-level documentation.
  • Support Privacy Impact Assessments and wider security governance activities.
  • Analyse security incidents and identify trends to improve organisational resilience.
  • Deliver security awareness initiatives and promote a strong security culture.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide strategic cyber security advice.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for experienced Cyber Security professionals with strong Information Assurance or Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) backgrounds.

You'll ideally have experience across several of the following:

  • Strong cyber security experience aligned to recognised industry frameworks such as the CIISec Skills Framework.
  • Information Assurance, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 and wider information security standards.
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments and assurance reviews.
  • Security policy development and governance experience.
  • Understanding of security management systems and security controls.
  • Experience assessing the effectiveness of technical and procedural security controls.
  • Knowledge of threat and vulnerability management processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Experience delivering cyber security projects within Agile and/or DevOps environments (desirable).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
