Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity and regulatory professional to join the Regional CISO organization as Vice President, Cyber Regulatory Engagement & Governance. The role is responsible for supporting the Regional CISO in managing cyber regulatory obligations across EMEA, maintaining effective relationships with regulators, and ensuring the organisation can demonstrate compliance with evolving cybersecurity, operational resilience, and technology risk requirements.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on regulatory matters, coordinate responses to regulatory examinations and information requests, monitor emerging regulatory developments, and help drive the implementation of regulatory requirements across cybersecurity and technology teams.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong stakeholder management skills, deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape, and the ability to communicate complex cyber and technology risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Regulatory Engagement
- Support and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, with particular focus on the UK regulatory environment.
- Coordinate and contribute to regulatory examinations, thematic reviews, supervisory engagements, information requests, and remediation activities.
- Prepare and review regulatory submissions, presentations, briefing materials, and executive talking points.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Technology, Operational Resilience, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure consistent and accurate regulatory messaging.
- Represent Cybersecurity on regulatory working groups and industry engagement forums as required.
Regulatory Change & Compliance
- Working with Compliance team to identify emerging cybersecurity, technology risk, operational resilience, third-party risk, and data protection regulations across EMEA.
- Assess the impact of new regulatory requirements and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the development of regulatory implementation plans and track remediation activities.
- Maintain a structured inventory of cybersecurity-related regulatory obligations, reporting requirements, and commitments.

Governance & Executive Reporting
- Develop and deliver executive reporting on cyber regulatory risks, regulatory commitments, and remediation progress.
- Support regional governance forums, risk committees, and board-level reporting activities.
- Prepare management information and metrics demonstrating regulatory compliance and cyber risk posture.
- Ensure evidence and documentation supporting regulatory requirements are maintained and readily available.
Strategic Advisory
- Advise senior leaders on regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Support the Regional CISO in developing regional cybersecurity strategies aligned with regulatory and business objectives.
- Contribute to operational resilience, cyber resilience, and regulatory readiness initiatives across the region.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, operational resilience, regulatory affairs, compliance, or governance.
- Demonstrable experience engaging directly with financial services regulators.
- Experience working within complex, highly regulated global organizations.
- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements impacting cybersecurity and operational resilience.
- Experience preparing for and managing regulatory examinations, audits, and supervisory interactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk Management, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
- Technical certification that can demonstrate practical understanding of implement strong cyber controls
