Role Overview: Digital Safety Team
Join easyJet’s Digital Safety team to shape how cyber security risk is managed across Europe’s leading airline. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of risk, assurance, and governance—partnering with teams across the business to strengthen our digital resilience and support safe, secure operations for millions of customers.

The Team
You’ll be part of a cyber security specialist team dedicated to embedding Digital Safety as critical to easyJet’s operations—as essential as Aircraft Safety.
Key partnerships include:
- Operational, Commercial, Regulatory, and Audit teams
- Focus on governance, risk management, and assurance
Your work will directly support easyJet’s Digital Safety vision, ensuring robust protections across the organisation.

Role: Digital Safety Risk and Assurance Specialist
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve operating and developing easyJet’s cyber risk management framework—ensuring seamless collaboration with stakeholders across the business. Core responsibilities include:
- Operating the Digital Safety risk framework: Assess, record, and monitor cyber risks across all business areas.
- Partnering with teams:.Interfaces between technical and business stakeholders to capture and evaluate risk information.
- Supplier assurance activities: Identify/manage supply chain risk to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Regulatory compliance: Spot gaps, escalate risks, and align solutions with teams.
- Data governance contributions: Drive improvements in how organisational data is governed.
- Alignment with risk processes: Collaborate with ITQ and Risk teams for cohesive reporting.
- Governance reporting: Present insights, recommendations to risk/assurance forums.
- Guiding colleagues: Deliver training/support on risk methodologies to colleagues.
- Risk documentation:
- Maintain risk registers for information assets and risk exceptions.
- Develop and maintain bow-tie risk models (linking causes/consequences with mitigations).
- Provide expertise in quantitative risk analysis (e.g., Monte Carlo modelling).
- Threat intelligence: Monitor the evolving cyber threat landscape and assess organisational impact.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Experience in cyber security, information security, risk, or governance roles (business/support).
- Analytical skills: Ability to assess, interpret, and clearly communicate risk-based decisions.
- Stakeholder engagement: Confident working across technical and non-technical teams on complex challenges.
- Prioritisation skills: Manage multiple high-priority, non-routine issues efficiently.
- Effective communicator: Both written and presentation skills to inform leadership.
- Collaborative mindset: Embrace continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing.

Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with cyber security risk frameworks, governance, assurance principles.
- Awareness of regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR), supplier risk, and data governance.
Desirable Qualifications
- CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) or equivalent.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CompTIA Security+.
- Industry-recognised certifications in Information Security.
