📍 Manchester, Central (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week)
💷 £65k - £80k + Bonus + Benefits
I'm partnered with one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer businesses that's transforming the way people buy used vehicles through technology and data.
With around 500 employees across multiple UK offices and ambitious growth plans ahead, they're looking for a Senior Cyber Risk & Compliance Lead to take ownership of their cyber governance and risk function, helping the business stay secure while enabling innovation in AI.
This is an opportunity to become the go-to expert for cyber risk across the organisation, working closely with senior leaders in Technology, Product, Legal and Operations to shape strategy, strengthen security maturity and ensure the business stays ahead of an evolving regulatory and threat landscape.
The Opportunity
This is a senior individual contributor position with significant visibility across the business, working in a small InfoSec and Digital team with 3-5 others
- You'll own the cyber risk and compliance programme end-to-end, driving improvements across governance, supplier assurance, security frameworks and risk management while influencing senior stakeholders and helping embed a strong security culture.
- The business is also investing heavily in AI, making this a great opportunity for someone excited by emerging technologies and the evolving cyber risks they introduce.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
