About The Role
We are excited to offer an engaging opportunity for a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to join a growing and innovative Information Security team. This role is tailored for individuals with approximately 12 to 24 months of experience in cyber security or IT security, who are eager to deepen their technical expertise and contribute to safeguarding a global digital environment. Working closely with seasoned security professionals, you will have the chance to monitor, investigate, and respond to a variety of cyber security events, utilizing industry-leading tools and technologies. The position provides hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), email security, vulnerability management, and security automation. This role is ideal for someone looking to establish a solid foundation in cyber security while working within a collaborative team that values continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess around 1-2 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, IT Security, or a Service Desk role with security responsibilities. A strong understanding of core security concepts such as phishing, malware, vulnerability management, and incident response is essential. Exposure to SIEM, EDR/XDR, or Microsoft security technologies will be considered advantageous. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud environments, demonstrating adaptability to modern digital infrastructures. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are vital for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and resolving security issues promptly. A genuine passion for cyber security and a desire to expand technical knowledge are key attributes. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, SC-200, or Blue Team Level 1 are desirable but not mandatory, as the organization values enthusiasm and a proactive learning mindset.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate security alerts using SIEM and endpoint security platforms to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Support incident response activities, including investigations related to phishing attacks, malware infections, and other security incidents.
- Manage security tickets and requests efficiently, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
- Assist with vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation activities to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
- Support email security administration, including reported phishing investigations and spam filtering.
- Help maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and data protection processes to prevent data breaches.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Networks, and Development teams to implement security improvements across the organization.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of security procedures, policies, and incident reports.
- Stay informed about emerging cyber threats and security best practices to proactively enhance defenses.
