Cyber Security Analyst
Role Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to safeguard the organization's information systems, networks, and digital assets against cyber threats. The successful candidate will monitor security events, identify vulnerabilities, investigate security incidents, and support the implementation of effective security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting security assessments
- Analyzing logs and alerts
- Performing vulnerability scanning
- Supporting incident response activities
- Monitoring endpoint and network security solutions
- Assisting in the development of security policies and procedures
The Cyber Security Analyst will collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to strengthen security posture, ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements, and promote security awareness across the organization.

- Preparing security reports
- Maintaining security documentation
- Evaluating emerging threats
- Recommending risk mitigation strategies
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for cybersecurity operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and information security best practices.
- Knowledge of network security, operating systems, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and identity and access management (IAM).
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment, penetration testing concepts, security monitoring, and incident response processes.
- Basic understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or PCI DSS.
- Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and log analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and secure system administration.
- Basic scripting or automation knowledge using PowerShell, Python, or Bash is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- A proactive mindset, commitment to continuous learning, and awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
