Role: Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Part-Time
Payout: $20 - $80/hour
Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to work on a part-time basis. The role involves monitoring and analyzing security events to protect systems and data. Responsibilities include identifying vulnerabilities and responding to incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security events from multiple sources including SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Investigate security incidents and determine their scope, impact, and root cause.
- Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
- Understanding of common security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Ability to analyze logs and network traffic to detect anomalies and potential threats.
- Experience with incident response procedures and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
