Cyber Security Business Analyst
Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract
Location: Reading – 3 days per week onsite
A leading organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Cyber Security Business Analyst to support the delivery of key cyber security initiatives across a complex enterprise environment.
This role forms part of a long-term cyber transformation programme, making it an excellent opportunity for a contractor looking for a project with a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial 3-month term.
Working as part of a collaborative cyber security team, you'll play a key role in bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring critical security initiatives are successfully delivered and aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to capture, analyse and document business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops to understand current and future-state processes.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
- Support the delivery of cyber security and technology transformation projects.
- Produce high-quality documentation, including business process maps, user stories and requirements documentation.
- Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects and cyber security specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support testing, change management and user acceptance activities where required.
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives, security standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering cyber security or information security projects.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, governance and risk management.
- Experience producing process maps, user stories, functional specifications and business requirements documentation.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience working alongside cyber security, infrastructure and technology teams.
