Cyber Security Engineer | London | Hybrid
We're working with a well-established organisation looking to appoint an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen its security operations and protect a complex enterprise infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on security professional who enjoys working across:
- Network security
- Incident response
- Vulnerability management
- Infrastructure security
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to cyber security incidents and threats
- Configure, maintain, and optimise enterprise security infrastructure
- Manage firewalls, network security devices, and secure access solutions
- Perform vulnerability assessments, security hardening, and remediation
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives
- Conduct ethical hacking and security testing activities
- Maintain security policies, documentation, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to deliver secure infrastructure
- Deliver security awareness training and promote security best practices across the business

Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role within an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- Check Point firewalls
- Cisco networking and Cisco ISE
- Zscaler (ZIA & ZPA), Splunk, and security monitoring tools
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent networking expertise
- PowerShell or scripting experience
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Desirable
- Experience with:
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Linux (Red Hat)
- VMware/VxRail, RecoverPoint HCI, and Rubrik backup solutions
- Microsoft or VMware certifications
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
