Do you have the technical expertise to protect, monitor and strengthen modern IT environments while influencing security strategy?

Can you combine hands-on cyber security expertise with strategic thinking?

I am working with a Housing Association based in the North East to recruit for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to play a key role in protecting their systems, infrastructure, and data from an ever-evolving cyber threat landscape.

This is a great opportunity for a security professional who thrives on combining strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery. You'll be responsible for leading cyber security initiatives, enhancing our security posture, and ensuring that robust controls, monitoring capabilities, and response processes are in place across the organisation.

Working closely with Infrastructure, Cloud and Digital teams, you'll help embed security best practices throughout the business while driving continuous improvement and supporting compliance with recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.

As the Cyber Security Engineer, you'll protect and strengthen the organisation's cyber security posture. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining security controls across both cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring systems, networks and data remain secure against evolving threats.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
