About The Role
The Network Security Specialist is a key pillar within the Secure Networks team, reporting to the Network Security Operations Manager. This role is critical to the successful delivery and support of customer security services, combining technical leadership, operational responsibility, incident ownership, and change governance to ensure high-quality outcomes across a 24/7 environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide technical leadership across Network Security Operations, acting as a key decision-maker within the team and supporting delivery from a 3rd Line / SME perspective.
- Take ownership of critical (P1/P2) security incidents, providing technical leadership during high-priority outages or security events, driving resolution, stakeholder communication, and service restoration.
- Own and support change management activities, ensuring all changes are risk-assessed, peer-reviewed, implemented to a high standard, and aligned with governance and customer expectations.
- Lead and promote best practice across ITIL frameworks, ensuring effective service delivery, incident management, and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills / Experience
- Industry-recognised security certifications (or equivalent experience), such as:
- Fortinet FCP / FCSS
- Cisco CCNP (Security)
- Check Point CCSE
- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Forcepoint
- Hands-on experience across enterprise network security technologies, including:
- Fortinet (Firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Cisco ASA & Secure Firewall
- Cisco ISE (Network Access Control)
- F5 Load Balancers & Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Palo Alto Firewalls
