About the Role
We're looking for a Security Presales Consultant to own and grow Wanstor’s security portfolio. Acting as the commercial face of our security practice, you’ll shape our security propositions, services, and go-to-market strategy while partnering with Account Managers to win new business and grow existing customers.
Working across the full sales cycle, you’ll lead customer engagements, influence commercial outcomes, and help define what we sell, how we package it, and how we position it in the market. This is a commercially focused role for someone who enjoys building propositions, challenging customer thinking, and driving security revenue—not simply designing technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Wanstor’s security portfolio, shaping the services, propositions, and go-to-market strategy that drive growth
- Partner with Account Managers throughout the sales cycle, leading security opportunities from discovery through to close
- Build compelling security propositions that are:
- Commercially attractive
- Easy for customers to buy
- Simple for Sales to position
- Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, and executive conversations, translating security challenges into business outcomes
- Develop pricing models, commercial packages, and sales collateral to:
- Increase pipeline
- Boost win rate
- Maximise average deal value
- Work closely with Microsoft and other strategic vendors to:
- Maximise funding opportunities
- Strengthen Wanstor’s security offering
- Coach and enable the wider Sales team to confidently:
- Identify security opportunities
- Qualify them
- Progress them
- Stay ahead of the cybersecurity market using:
- Competitor insights
- Emerging trends
- Continuous improvement of Wanstor’s security portfolio
- Own the security content within:
- Proposals
- RFPs
- RFIs and Statements of Work
- Ensuring solutions are:
- Commercially compelling
- Deliverable
- Act as the commercial face of Wanstor’s security practice, representing the business with:
- Customers
- Partners
- At industry events

Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior role such as:
- Cybersecurity presales
- Product leadership
- proposition development
- practice leadership
- Within an MSP, consultancy, or technology vendor
- Demonstrated ability to personally influence and win security opportunities (not merely technical support)
- Experience in:
- Building and packaging security propositions for market
- Strong understanding of commercial pricing and managed services
- Confidence to:
- Challenge customer thinking
- Build conviction
- Communicate complex security concepts in a clear, business-focused way
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Security technologies (e.g., Defender, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Security, Sentinel, Purview, Azure security services)
- Experience leading:
- Customer workshops
- Executive presentations
- Bid responses
- Commercial discussions
- Excellent communication skills to build trusted relationships with:
- Customers
- Account Managers
- Technology partners
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as:
- Cyber Essentials
- ISO 27001
- NIST
- CIS (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Passion for:
- Shaping security strategy
- Growing security revenue
- Developing market-leading propositions
