Role: Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $25 - $80/hour
Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Penetration Tester to work on a contract basis. The role involves identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications to assess security posture. Responsibilities include conducting manual and automated penetration testing, documenting findings, and recommending remediation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
- Execute vulnerability scans and analyze results to identify security weaknesses.
- Develop and execute custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real-world attack scenarios.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities, exploitation steps, and mitigation recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage findings and verify remediation efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, or similar.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tool development.
- Knowledge of common security frameworks, including OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
- Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly.
