Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Cycle Mechanic role based in Putney. The Cycle Mechanic will diagnose issues, perform routine and complex repairs, and carry out regular servicing on a wide range of bicycles.

  • Inspecting bikes
  • Adjusting gears and brakes
  • Replacing components
  • Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards

The role also involves advising customers on suitable repairs, maintenance schedules, and upgrades, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workshop area. The mechanic will collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair on a variety of bicycles.
  • Skills in Preventive Maintenance to identify wear and prevent mechanical failures.
  • Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Experience working with Heavy Equipment or specialized bike tools and workshop machinery.
  • Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work on-site in Putney and stand for extended periods.
  • Relevant technical training or certifications in cycle maintenance are an advantage.
