As part of a leading online mental health service, you'll collaborate with innovative, forward-thinking professionals in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to making a real difference.

Role Overview

The CYP (Child and Young Person) Clinical Lead plays a vital role within Psychiatry UK, responsible for providing strong clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality services for children and young people (CYP), while supporting the strategic objectives.

Working in close partnership with the Clinical Director, the Clinical Lead will champion clinical governance, foster a positive and supportive team culture, and maintain high operational standards. The role plays a key part in driving continuous quality improvement, implementing innovative approaches to enhance patient outcomes, and improving service efficiency.

The CYP Clinical Lead will balance their responsibilities across clinical governance, leadership, and operational oversight, ensuring robust support for the multidisciplinary team and the consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.

This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK.

Responsibilities

As our CYP (Child and Young Person) Clinical Lead, you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership for Psychiatry-UK's Children and Young People (CYP) services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based care and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Lead and support the multidisciplinary clinical team by providing expert clinical guidance, promoting best practice, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Work in partnership with the Clinical Director and operational leaders to shape and develop CYP services, driving innovation, service transformation, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Oversee clinical governance, ensuring services meet regulatory, safeguarding, and CQC standards while maintaining a strong focus on quality and patient safety.
  • Monitor clinical performance, patient outcomes, and service quality, using data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance clinical effectiveness.
  • Support the recruitment, induction, supervision, mentoring, and development of clinicians, ensuring a skilled, engaged, and resilient workforce.
  • Chair and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, providing clinical oversight and supporting effective decision-making across the service.
  • Work collaboratively to optimise clinical capacity, workforce planning, and patient pathways, ensuring timely access to high-quality care.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated working, service development, and the continued growth of CYP services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
