About the Role

Czech Financial Translator
Language Requirements: English → Czech and Czech → English Focus Area: Economics, finance, legal/regulatory, and client-facing content
This role is ideal for a self-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while delivering precise, high-quality translations under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate IBKR’s account applications and client account interfaces (UI/UX content)
- Perform occasional legal/regulatory translations (ensure compliance and accuracy)
- Maintain and update glossary and translation memory (TM) resources
- Conduct quality assurance by proofreading, editing, and refining existing translations
- Process and deliver document-based financial content (brochures, marketing materials, etc.)
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential:
- Native-level proficiency in both Czech and English
- BA/MA degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, or a related discipline
- Proficient in CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools (requirement for daily operation; advantage if experienced in configuration/advanced features)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- Translating financial/economic content (preferably for an institution)
- Technical or marketing translation within the finance/brokerage sector
- Strong grasp of basic trading terms and financial jargon
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding time-management and organisational abilities
- Self-confident, flexible, and collaborative — able to work independently while contributing to a team
