About the Role
We are assisting a UK-based Microsoft Dynamics delivery partner in supporting an international D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) programme for a manufacturing client with operations across:
- United Kingdom
- France
- Portugal
The client seeks a strong D365 F&O Finance Functional Consultant to support the finance workstream, with an initial focus on the UK business.
This role is ideal for someone with:
- Deep experience in D365 F&O Finance consulting
- A solid grasp of finance processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior finance stakeholders, delivery teams, and business users

A background in accounting, finance operations, or chartered accountancy is highly beneficial.
Key Experience Required
A candidate must have:
- Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) experience
- Proven D365 F&O Finance functional consulting experience
- In-depth knowledge of core finance processes, including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Assets
- Cash & Bank Management
- Tax / VAT
- Expertise in:
- Financial dimensions
- Account structures
- Posting profiles
- Period-end and month-end processes
- Hands-on experience with:
- Financial reporting
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT), testing, and go-live support
- Stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering
- Fit-gap analysis
- Functional documentation
- Experience working effectively with finance users and stakeholders

Beneficial (but not mandatory) Experience
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant / chartered accountant
- UK finance process knowledge
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, supply chain, or product-based industries
- Exposure to multi-country D365 F&O rollouts
- Ability to engage across both finance and operational workstreams
- Basic knowledge of French finance (helpful, but not essential)
