D365 F&O Functional Solution Architect
Location
Windsor (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)

Day Rate
£465 per day (Inside IR35)
We are supporting a large-scale ERP transformation programme for a leading UK organisation and are looking for an experienced D365 F&O Functional Solution Architect to play a critical role in the design and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead solution design across a major enterprise transformation programme, working with senior stakeholders, architects and delivery teams to implement scalable, business-focused solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end functional solution design for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Facilitate discovery, scoping and solution design workshops with business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose D365 F&O solutions, promoting standard functionality wherever possible.
- Provide functional leadership to consultants and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Work closely with enterprise and solution architects to ensure alignment with the overall technology strategy.
- Produce high-quality functional design documentation and solution artefacts.
- Support configuration decisions while reducing unnecessary customisation and technical debt.
- Collaborate with business users, project teams and IT stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide guidance throughout implementation, testing and post-go-live support.
- Champion best practice and continuous improvement across the programme.

Required Experience
- 8-10+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations functional experience (12+ years overall experience preferred).
- Strong expertise across D365 Finance, including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger
- Cash & Bank Management
- Fixed Assets
- Subscription Billing
- Experience with Direct Debit processes is highly desirable.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale D365 F&O solutions.
- Strong understanding of fit-to-standard implementation approaches.
- Experience producing functional design documentation.
- Previous experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of ERP transformation programmes.

Desirable
- Experience within the Energy or Utilities sector.
- Microsoft Dynamics certifications.
- Experience working on complex enterprise transformation programmes.
