Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Functional Consultant – Hybrid Role

(Office travel to London required occasionally)

This hands-on functional consulting role will have you:

  • Leading Dynamics 365 CRM solutions for public sector customers.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, business analysts, delivery teams, and technical specialists.
  • Mapping business processes, challenging thinking, and shaping practical, scalable solutions aligned with client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and business process mapping with client stakeholders.
  • Translate business challenges into clear requirements, user stories, product backlogs, and solution designs.
  • Advise clients on how Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) capabilities align with their operating model and future ambitions.
  • Support fit-gap analysis, solution configuration, functional design, and user expectation management in Agile delivery projects.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and delivery leads on data integration, migration, performance, and implementation.
  • Help shape estimates, proposals, RFP/RFI responses for new Dynamics 365 opportunities.
  • Guide business analysts, agile teams, and client stakeholders through successful solution delivery.

What You’ll Bring

Core Requirements

  • Strong functional consulting experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Dynamics 365 CE/CRM).
  • A confident client-facing approach, with skills to lead workshops and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in:
    • Gathering requirements, refining backlogs, mapping processes, and shaping functional designs in Agile environments.
    • Working with client stakeholders, business analysts, product owners, or agile teams to bring ideas to implementation.
  • Good understanding of:
    • Dynamics 365 configuration, extensibility, data migration, integration, and performance optimisation.
    • Commercial bids, estimates, proposals, or pre-sales support.
    • Microsoft Azure and DevOps delivery practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in public sector or complex enterprise environments.
  • Product ownership or product management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Azure DevOps or Power Platform.
    • Wider Microsoft Business Applications.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
