About the Opportunity
Daily Substitute Teacher – Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver daily lesson plans, modifying as needed during the school year.
- Differentiate instruction to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Track student progress and development with careful documentation.
- Implement research-based best practices in planning and teaching.
- Manage student behavior effectively in the classroom and around school.
- Cultivate a responsive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Follow school-approved curriculum while adapting for diverse students (cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds).
- Enforce school-wide culture expectations and norms.
- Collaborate with families on student progress and social-emotional growth.
- Integrate technology into classroom activities to enhance learning.
- Participate in non-instructional activities as directed by the school.
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

About You
Minimum Requirements
- Active Ohio teaching license in an appropriate content area.
- Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field).
- High comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment, comfortable with frequent observations, feedback, and monitoring.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle & protect confidential student information.
- Ability to supervise students across different settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.).
- State and federal criminal background check (screening required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in an urban environment.
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning (SEL).
- Passion for supporting diverse student needs.
