Dairy Service Engineer Supervisor
Service Team Supervisor – Advanced Milking Technologies (DeLaval Dealer)
Location: Attleborough, South of England
About the Role
At T H White Dairy, we’re a leading DeLaval dealer, driving innovation across the UK’s dairy sector with cutting-edge milking technologies, including robotic milking systems and parlour solutions. We’re now looking for an experienced Engineer to take on our Service Team Supervisor role—a hands-on leadership position overseeing a specialist team across the South of England.
As Service Team Supervisor, your responsibility will be to drive our service sevenfold. 75% of your role will be on-site, tackling installations, routine servicing, and break-down response for both automated milking systems and conventional parlours, while the remaining 25% is office-based in our Attleborough depot.
You’ll manage our depot’s service goals, allocate tasks, ensure team development and welfare, and coordinate across short- and long-term customer needs—always with an eye on scheduling and client satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Install, service and repair conventional and robotic milking parlours
- Utilise hands-on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical engineering expertise in the field
Team Management & Supervision
- Supervise and allocate roles and tasks for the dairy service team in Attleborough
- Maintain and schedule the call-out rota to ensure optimal coverage
- Oversee holiday planning and manage short-term absences effectively

Customer & Stakeholder Relations
- Conduct client liaison, problem-solving and clear communication to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Prioritise and multitask between urgent and planned tasks
Operations & Administration
- Monitor and meet service targets linked to depot performance Focus Weekly Operations (By Rota) – Currently approximating 1 week in 3 on-call duty
About You – The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a hardworking, self-starter with a proven track record in engineering leadership. You’ll have:

Experience as a supervisor or a senior engineer looking to step into a leadership role

Proven can-do attitude with a commitment to excellence

Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical engineering skills (specific to dairy technology)

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to multitask, prioritise and adapt quickly—whether trouble-shooting tech issues or managing reschedule in the field

Independence, with the ability to work both solo and as part of the team

Self-motivation to deliver high standards in both workshop and client environments

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence (essential for fieldwork)
