X works closely with clients to diagnose issues accurately and deliver long-lasting, reliable solutions. Role Description
The Damp Surveyor is a full-time hybrid role, with a mix of on-site surveys and some work from home for reporting and administration. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Visiting residential and commercial properties to assess damp, mould, and timber conditions
- Identifying root causes
- Recommending appropriate remedial treatments
- Taking detailed measurements, photographs, and notes
- Preparing clear survey reports and quotations
- Explaining findings to clients in a straightforward, professional manner

The role involves:
- Collaborating with the operations team and technicians to plan and schedule works
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Maintaining accurate records
This position requires:
- Regular travel to client sites
- Adherence to health and safety practices
- Consistent, high-quality customer service
Qualifications
- Experience in damp, mould, timber, or building pathology surveys, with the ability to diagnose moisture-related issues and recommend appropriate treatments
- Strong technical understanding of building construction, property maintenance, and structural integrity, ideally supported by industry training or certifications
- Proficiency in preparing survey reports, using digital tools for data collection (e.g., moisture meters, tablets, CRM systems), and managing documentation accurately
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical findings clearly to clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan site visits, prioritize workloads, and work independently in a hybrid environment
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Dorset, Hampshire, and surrounding areas
- Relevant qualifications in surveying, construction, or a related field are beneficial; previous experience in damp proofing or remedial works is an advantage
- Commitment to safe working practices, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development
