About The Role

We have a brilliant opportunity for an organised, customer-focused individual to join us in our friendly Data Access team as a Data Protection Administrator.

As a leading UK life and pensions mutual insurer with a proud history dating back to 1843, we exist to help people live financially confident lives – protecting their income while they work and maximising it when they stop. Today, over one million members and customers trust us to look after their futures, families and finances. Joining us means becoming part of a team that puts our members, customers and advisers at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to creating an inclusive culture where colleagues can thrive. We are proud to have built a workplace where our colleagues feel welcomed, respected, supported and valued – reflected in our recognition as one of the Financial Times UK’s Best Employers in 2025 and 2026. We celebrate individuality and believe our differences make us stronger, so bring your true self and help shape the future of LV=.

Within this varied role, you’ll combine your excellent customer service skills with coordinating, investigating, and accurately responding to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other GDPR-related requests and enquiries received, in line with LV= policies and UK regulations. You’ll manage your workload effectively and always maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism. This role is offered on a fixed-term basis of 6 months. While we can offer some flexibility, this is mainly an office-based role, in which you’d be working from our Bournemouth office five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of DSAR and GDPR requests, in line with business policies.
  • Contacting individuals by phone to initially discuss their requests, advising them accurately on what we can do to help them.
  • Sending updates and outcomes via letters, calls, or emails.
  • Liaising with relevant business areas to request information required to help with cases.
  • Redacting data in line with data protection rules and regulations.
  • Understanding and applying appropriate exemptions where applicable and confirming these clearly via customer correspondence.
  • Identifying and escalating any concerns or breaches to the Data Protection Office.
  • Ensuring data requests are dealt with securely, minimising the risk of breaches through interaction with Information Security and DPO.
  • Managing, sorting and/or redirecting incoming post, and responding to emails.
  • Supporting and guiding colleagues in other business areas with DSAR recognition, handling and regulations.
  • Supporting the Data Protection Office when required with MI and other information.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (Customer Experience, Sales Distribution, Product etc.)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
