About The Role

The Data & AI Delivery Lead – Supply Chain Excellence is a senior strategic leader responsible for defining, shaping, and executing the enterprise vision for the Supply Chain Excellence data and AI ecosystem. This leader brings deep subject matter expertise in Supply Chain data and processes including manufacturing, packaging, quality, labs, site operations and sustainability, as well as knowledge of enterprise data ecosystems and advanced AI. The role focuses exclusively on harnessing data, analytics, and AI to drive value across Supply Chain through accelerated intelligence, trusted data for enterprise reporting and decision making, process optimisation – all underpinned with robust data foundations including master data management, data quality and trusted enterprise data assets

This role sits within the Chief Data Office (CDO) with a dotted line into the Head of Supply Chain Excellence Tech and is fully embedded within the Supply Chain Excellence Tech Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • In partnership with Supply Chain Excellence Digital & Technology Lead, define and champion the strategic vision for Supply Chain data, insights, and AI products.
  • Drive the evolution of the Supply Chain data and AI ecosystem, anticipating industry trends and emerging technologies, with a strong focus on building scalable, standardised data foundations and enterprise-wide data consistency.
  • Translate the Supply Chain Excellence strategy into multi-year capability and data & AI roadmap, including the enabling scope for master data, data quality and data governance maturity.
  • Bring data & AI external innovation, competitive insights, and industry best practices into Haleon.

Deep Expertise & Thought Partnership:

  • Understand cross-functional data needs across Supply Chain, including critical master data domains and dependencies across systems.
  • Advise Supply Chain Tech leadership on data strategy, architecture, governance, quality and AI enablement.

Product & Portfolio Ownership:

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle for Supply Chain data and intelligence products, from data strategy and foundational platforms through to advanced analytics, AI and GenAI use cases, ensuring strong alignment to enterprise data models and master data standards, and clear ownership of delivery milestones, financial commitments, and execution KPIs across the portfolio.
  • Define and manage a transparent, value-led product roadmap balancing near-term delivery with long-term data & AI transformation, including prioritisation of foundational data improvements to unlock value.
  • Oversee prioritisation, investment evaluation, and data product governance.
  • Ensure data & AI portfolio for Supply Chain Excellence is scalable, resilient and secure across both GxP and non-GxP environments, with strong interoperability across the enterprise data ecosystem.
  • Support Supply Chain Excellence to drive sustainment, adoption and benefits tracking to ensure enduring business value, including partnership with Data Steward network for tracking improvements in data quality, consistency and reuse.

Driving Supply Chain Excellence Outcomes with Data & AI:

  • Lead integration of AI/ML and agentic intelligence into operational and technical workflows, enabled by high-quality, trusted and well-governed data assets.
  • Identify high-value AI use cases to accelerate innovation and deliver value in Supply Chain, ensuring foundational data readiness is in place.
  • Ensure responsible, ethical, and compliant AI across Supply Chain Excellence.
  • Support the embedding of AI solutions into operational processes.
  • Stay current on data, AI and Gen AI trends in manufacturing, packaging, quality, labs, site operations and sustainability and where there may be opportunities to drive business outcomes.

Cross-Functional Influence and Collaboration:

  • Act as the connective leader across CDO, Supply Chain Excellence Tech and Supply Chain business stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Data Management lead to drive enterprise alignment on data standards, metadata including master data models, reference data and common data definitions.
  • Influence senior stakeholders to adopt and invest in Supply Chain data and AI strategies, articulate the value of strong data foundations and the business impact of poor data quality.

Delivery Leadership & Operational Excellence:

  • Lead cross functional teams across data science, engineering, architecture, and analytics.
  • Ensure execution in alignment with enterprise data and AI technical strategy, including adherence to data governance, master data management and data quality frameworks.
  • Oversee central support operations for all Supply Chain Excellence data and insights products.
  • Resolve data quality, governance, and interoperability issues impacting value realization, driving structured root cause analysis and remediation initiatives.
  • Promote agile delivery, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for delivery performance, service reliability, and operational stability across all Supply Chain Excellence data & AI products.

Execution & Value Delivery Accountability:

  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of the Supply Chain Excellence data & AI portfolio, ensuring initiatives are delivered on-time, on-budget, and aligned to defined business outcomes.
  • Establish and drive robust delivery governance, including portfolio tracking, risk management, and dependency management across data, technology and business teams.
  • Ensure operational excellence of data & AI products, including lifecycle management, sustainment, performance monitoring, and continuous optimisation.
  • Oversee compliance, security, and technical integrity of data products, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory (including GxP where applicable).
  • Lead proactive identification and mitigation of delivery, data quality, and interoperability risks, driving structured root cause resolution.
  • Drive value realisation and benefits tracking, ensuring measurable and sustained business impact from deployed data & AI solutions.
  • Ensure strong alignment between strategic roadmap and execution capacity, balancing long-term transformation with near-term delivery commitments.

Required

Qualifications and skills

  • Extensive experience in Supply Chain, digital, data/AI product leadership
  • Deep SME knowledge of Supply Chain workflows and data ecosystems.
  • Proven leadership of data/AI product portfolios in global matrixed organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and senior‑level influencing skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable delivery plans.

Preferred

  • Experience in the consumer health, CPG, healthcare, or life sciences sector.
  • Expertise in data & AI architecture, metadata, and AI/ML platforms, with experience in master data management and data quality processes.
  • Knowledge of GenAI and agentic AI, underpinned by an understanding of the importance of high-quality, well-governed data.
