Data & AI Strategy Consultant

London hybrid, competitive salary plus bonus and benefits

The Company

They are a global management consultancy with a strong reputation across capital markets and financial services, alongside a growing presence in other regulated industries. The business specialises in end to end transformation, deploying cross functional teams to solve complex client challenges. Their data and AI practice is expanding rapidly, with increasing demand across strategy, governance and data driven transformation.

The Role

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to define and deliver data and AI strategies for large organisations. The work is varied, ranging from short discovery engagements to longer transformation programmes. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading or supporting the development of AI and data strategies for enterprise clients
  • Engaging with C suite stakeholders to assess current capabilities and define future state roadmaps
  • Identifying high value use cases for AI and advanced analytics
  • Advising clients on build versus buy decisions for AI solutions
  • Supporting AI governance frameworks, including policies and controls for emerging technologies such as Generative AI
  • Translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Contributing to wider transformation programmes across data management and governance

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in data or AI strategy within a consulting or advisory environment
  • Understanding of AI governance, with awareness of policies, risk and regulatory considerations
  • Ability to operate in a client facing role, engaging senior stakeholders and driving discussions
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, bridging technical and non technical audiences
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated industry such as energy or pharmaceuticals is beneficial
  • Understanding of how consulting engagements operate, including delivery models and stakeholder management
