Data Analyst (Entry / Junior)

Role Description

The Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) supports data collection, analysis, reporting, and visualization activities to help teams make informed, data-driven decisions. This role works closely with business teams, analysts, and stakeholders to organize data, identify trends, generate insights, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assisting in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate key findings and performance indicators clearly and effectively.
  • Supporting data-driven projects by conducting exploratory analysis, monitoring business metrics, identifying patterns, and providing actionable recommendations based on analytical findings.

The position involves working with structured datasets, maintaining data documentation, improving reporting processes, and supporting the development of analytical solutions. The Data Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate questions into analytical approaches, and deliver insights that support operational and strategic objectives.

  • Performing data quality checks, identifying data inconsistencies.
  • Assisting with automation of recurring reports.
  • Contributing to process improvements through effective use of analytics tools.

The role requires attention to detail, curiosity, logical thinking, and the ability to communicate analytical results in a clear and meaningful way. Success in this position requires a strong willingness to learn, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis concepts, statistical principles, and analytical methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting functions.
  • Familiarity with SQL and the ability to work with databases and structured data.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, validation, and reporting processes.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data quality.
  • Basic understanding of statistics, metrics, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new analytical tools, technologies, and business processes.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and delivering meaningful insights.
