About the Company
Anglian Water is seeking an Asset Data and Assurance Analyst to join its Asset Data and Insight team. This role is responsible for maintaining the quality, integrity, and governance of asset data that supports the operation and maintenance of critical water and wastewater infrastructure. About the Role
The Asset Data and Assurance Analyst supports the management of asset information by maintaining accurate data, analyzing maintenance records, producing business insights, and promoting data governance across the organization. This role works closely with operational teams to ensure reliable asset data supports informed decision-making and efficient infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
Asset Data Management
- Maintain, update, and manage asset and maintenance master data within corporate systems.
- Create, amend, and retire asset records while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Support the allocation and optimization of maintenance plans.
- Monitor and improve asset data quality through regular validation and governance activities.

Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract, analyze, and interpret asset and maintenance data.
- Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports to support operational and business decisions.
- Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support business projects by providing accurate asset data and system updates.
Process Improvement & Data Governance
- Develop and maintain documentation for asset data processes and procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and data governance best practices.
- Provide guidance and support on SAP Plant Maintenance and asset management systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve reporting processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience working with asset data, reporting, or data management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, and data management processes.
- Proven ability to collect, manipulate, and analyze complex datasets accurately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Preferred
- Experience with Power BI, Databricks, or dashboard development.
- Experience within the utilities, infrastructure, or asset management sector.
- Knowledge of asset maintenance planning and data governance practices.
