About the Company
Anglian Water is seeking an Asset Data and Assurance Analyst to join its Asset Data and Insight team. This role supports the quality, integrity, and governance of asset data that enables the effective operation and maintenance of critical water and wastewater infrastructure. About the Role
The Asset Data and Assurance Analyst is responsible for maintaining asset information, improving data quality, supporting reporting and analytics, and ensuring effective data governance across asset management systems. This position works closely with operational and technical teams to provide accurate asset data that supports business decision-making.
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Asset Data Management
- Maintain, update, and manage asset and maintenance master data within corporate systems.
- Create, modify, and retire asset records while ensuring data accuracy.
- Support the allocation and optimization of maintenance plans.
- Ensure compliance with asset data governance standards.

Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract, analyze, and interpret asset and maintenance data.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for operational and business stakeholders.
- Monitor data quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support business projects through data analysis and system updates.
Process Improvement & Support
- Develop and maintain documentation for asset data processes.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across asset data management.
- Provide guidance and support on SAP Plant Maintenance and asset data processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience working with asset data, reporting, or data management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, and data management processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective stakeholder communication and relationship management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Power BI, Databricks, or dashboard development.
- Experience within utilities, infrastructure, or asset management environments.
- Knowledge of asset maintenance and data governance best practices.
