About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team at TELUS Digital AI Data Solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimizing advanced data models and machine learning algorithms that support our clients' strategic objectives. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Proven experience in developing machine learning models, data analysis, and statistical programming is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, along with experience using data processing frameworks like SQL, Spark, or Hadoop, is required. Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques, such as Tableau or Power BI, is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights that inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to optimize model performance.
  • Monitor and maintain the accuracy and efficiency of deployed models, making adjustments as needed.
  • Document methodologies, processes, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data science and artificial intelligence, integrating new techniques into ongoing projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance and security protocols to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
