About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Manager to join our dynamic team at Places for People. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of residential and commercial properties, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and tenant satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in property management or a related field. A relevant qualification such as a property management certification, estate management degree, or equivalent is preferred. Strong knowledge of property legislation, health and safety regulations, and lease agreements is essential. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills are required to effectively liaise with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders. Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite is also necessary. A proactive attitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

As a Property Manager at Places for People, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of properties to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and external agencies to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Overseeing maintenance and repair activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime.
  • Conducting regular property inspections to identify and address potential problems proactively.
  • Preparing and managing budgets, rent collection, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • Implementing community engagement initiatives and promoting tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensuring all properties adhere to relevant legislation, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of property improvement projects and regeneration initiatives.
