As one of the largest automotive retail groups in the UK, Vertu Motors is proud to represent 30 of the World's most popular vehicle manufacturers from over 190 sites nationwide. Our two brands include Bristol Street Motors and Vertu Motors. Due to our continued growth and success, we have a unique opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our team.

We are currently engaged in an ambitious strategic project to rebuild our data warehouse in the cloud using Redshift and AWS Glue, including integration of our Customer Data Platform, and a roll out of our new BI platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in this project and to learn new skills in cloud technology, whilst applying your previous experience of SQL.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Develop and maintain the Data Warehouse using SQL.
  • Develop ETL processes using AWS Glue.
  • Create reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Data Analyst role.
  • Strong experience with SQL and Python.
  • Experience with AWS Glue or similar ETL tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of source control via GitHub.

This is a remote role however you will be required to attend meetings at our head office in Gateshead, so we are looking for the successful candidate to be based within the North East. We are able to offer a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience.
