BMC Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a leading financial services and pensions organisation in the search for a Data Solutions Analyst to join its growing Pension Operations team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical expertise across pension administration functions while driving efficiencies, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Working Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (1hr Lunch)
  • Hybrid Working following training - 2 days from home - 3 days office based
  • Free on-site parking
  • 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays (increases with length of service)
  • Company pension contribution (increases with length of service)
  • Company/team events throughout the year

The Role

As a Data Solutions Analyst, you will act as a technical specialist within Pension Operations, providing support across administration teams and working closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional service standards.

The role combines pensions expertise, operational support, process improvement, data analysis, and stakeholder liaison, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and operational support across pension administration functions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for pension-related processes and complex casework.
  • Support the completion of pension administration activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor regulatory and procedural changes, implementing updates where required.
  • Assist with compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for technical pension queries from internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies.
  • Investigate and resolve complex pension enquiries through to completion.
  • Assist with pension calculations, reviews, system updates, and operational improvements.
  • Ensure service level agreements and quality standards are consistently achieved.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience reviewing processes and implementing operational improvements.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different teams.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous.
