Purpose of the Role
As a Data Analyst in our Data and Innovation team, you’ll be a strategic leader in transforming raw data into actionable business insights. Working closely with the Data Analytics and Insights Manager, you will:
- Extract insights from complex datasets to guide product optimisation, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
- Bridge technical and business realms, ensuring rigorous analytics inform key decision-making.
- Automate reporting and develop predictive models to assess the impact of business changes.
- Embed a data-driven culture through collaboration, mentorship, and innovation.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, applying tools like SQL, Snowflake, Python, Power BI, Google Analytics, and A/B testing platforms to deliver impactful results.
Your role will directly shape customer experiences, product improvements, and business growth, establishing interactive investor as a leader in data-enabled financial services.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Strategies
- Extract and analyse data from external sources, data lakes, and internal systems to derive strategic metrics for business decisions.
- Apply statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and segmentation techniques to uncover customer behaviours.
Reporting & Visualisation
- Develop, maintain, and automate Business Intelligence (BI) and Management Information (MI) reports using SQL, Python, Power BI, Google Analytics, and other tools.
- Push for efficiency gains through automated reporting.

Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Product, Commercial, Technology, Customer Service, and Operations teams to align analytics with business goals.
- Facilitate A/B testing, funnel optimisation, and conversion analysis to refine offerings.
KPI & Performance Measurement
- Lead or contribute to KPI development and tracking across departments.
- Monitor performance via data-led dashboards and supportive metrics.
Advanced Technology Utilisation
- Use Snowflake, Usabilla, ContentSquare, Hotjar, and Optimizely for user behaviour analysis.
- Serve as a power user for AI/ML platforms to enhance productivity.
Guidance & Compliance
- Mentor team members, ensure data governance standards are met, and uphold privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Explore emerging tools and methodologies, streaming improvements in workflows.
- Actively participate in team problem-solving sessions to resolve critical challenges.
Requirements
Essential
✔ Proven expertise in data analytics, preferably in commercial or digital industries. ✔ Strong proficiency in:
- SQL (querying, optimising)
- Data visualisation (e.g., Power BI, Streamlit, Google Data Studio/Looker).
- Google Marketing Cloud (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Search Console). ✔ Knowledge of statistical methods (e.g., predictive modelling, time series analysis). ✔ Experience with AI/ML platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn) for advanced analysis. ✔ Exceptional communication skills: ability to explain complex findings to non-technical stakeholders. ✔ Strong stakeholder management, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. ✔ Quantiative mindset with an understanding of KPIs and performance measurement. ✔ Hands-on experience in data projects and a track record of delivering insights.
Desirable
🔹 Investment/fintech industry experience, or a strong interest in financial markets. 🔹 Python proficiency (data cleaning, automation, ML frameworks). 🔹 Familiarity with A/B testing, conversion optimisation, and multi-channel attribution models. 🔹 Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake). 🔹 Comfort with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
