About The Role
As a Data Analyst at Sporty Group, you will play a pivotal role in transforming vast amounts of data into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions across the organization. Your primary responsibility will involve mining and analyzing petabytes of data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business growth and operational excellence. You will create and maintain dashboards used daily by product managers, traders, and executives, enabling them to make informed decisions swiftly and accurately. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing comprehensive reports on various facets of the business, with full autonomy over your analytical approach and methodology.
Beyond analysis, your role will include ensuring the stability and integrity of our reporting infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with data engineering teams to validate datasets, optimize data pipelines, and uphold high standards of data quality. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the reliability of our reporting systems, ensuring stakeholders receive consistent and accurate information to guide their strategies.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data-driven role, preferably within the sports, gaming, or related industries.
- Proficiency in SQL with a strong ability to analyze complex datasets efficiently.
- Experience with Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
- Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline management.
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and experimental design.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts, including Redshift or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Design, define, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product and operational performance effectively.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and business teams to translate business questions into structured data analysis and solutions.
- Develop and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that facilitate self-service analytics across teams.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and emerging business needs promptly.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by validating datasets and working closely with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines.
- Stay updated on the latest data analysis tools and industry trends to continuously improve analytical capabilities.
