Data Analyst
We are now recruiting for a Data Analyst to join the Capita HAAS (Health Assessment Advisory Service) contact.
The successful candidate will collect, organise and evaluate data from across the business to make informed decisions and improve business insight.
This is a permanent home based role.
What you'll be doing
- Development and continuous evolution of dashboards and performance reporting frameworks, ensuring delivery of clear, insight-led visibility of departmental performance against strategic objectives.
- Deliver intuitive, user-centric dashboards that provide actionable insight and highlight opportunities for performance improvement.
- Ensure solutions are accessible and impactful for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain robust reporting governance, ensuring all processes, methodologies and outputs are fully documented, standardised and aligned to best practice.
- Support the integration and collation of data inputs from multiple business areas, ensuring consistency, integrity and alignment across the end-to-end reporting landscape.
- Support the development and adoption of Power BI solutions, embedding best practice in data visualisation, modelling and insight delivery across the organisation.
- Leverage Power Automate and associated technologies to drive automation, efficiency and standardisation of reporting and business processes.
What we're looking for
- Deep technical expertise across Power Query, SQL, SSRS, Power BI and Power Automate, with a proven ability to design, optimise and scale robust end-to-end reporting and data solutions.
- Advanced capability in reverse engineering and modernising legacy reports and technical solutions, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve performance.
- Highly developed requirements elicitation and translation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders to define, challenge and convert business needs into effective, scalable analytical solutions.
- Ability to translate complex data and analytical insight into clear, concise and commercially meaningful outputs for non-technical audiences, supporting informed decision-making.
- Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Innovative and improvement-focused mindset, with a track record of identifying and implementing new analytics, methodologies and tools to enhance insight capability.
- Advanced analytical and Excel skills, supporting detailed interrogation of data and the development of high-quality insight and reporting outputs.
- Experience operating within complex operational environments, with the resilience and adaptability to deliver under pressure while maintaining quality and accuracy.

About HAAS
The Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) arranges and carries out assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC). The purpose of the assessment is to understand how an illness or disability affects a person's daily life. After the assessment, the DWP/DfC makes the decision as to whether the individual will receive benefits.
