Data Analyst

We’re Hiring a Data Analyst contractor based in Manchester to support our UKPI business, in CDAO Europe. The focus for this analyst will be supporting UKPI's strategic priorities and foundational enables (namely launching new offers and building unified data platforms), as well as our BAU activities (client segmentation for communications, dashboard updates, ad-hoc analysis requests).
Your Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or other BI platforms.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify opportunities for process improvements and business growth.
- Design and execute ad hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business teams, product owners, and management to understand reporting and analytical needs.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for efficient data retrieval.
- Identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support forecasting, trend analysis, and predictive modeling initiatives where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
- Document data definitions, methodologies, and analytical processes.
- Present findings and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve reporting processes through automation and optimization techniques.

Essential skills:
- Solid experience in Data Analytics, including data querying (SQL, Python) and data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI)
- Strong quantification skills (mathematics, behavioural modelling of averages, deviations, outlier detection, etc.)
- Problem-solving expertise (ability to work with partners to understand problems to be solved, digest requirements, and turn them into data solutions to generate insights)
- Ability to collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams across business and technology (personable, strong verbal and written communication skills, good facilitation experience)
- Proactive, engaged, ‘get stuff done’ mindset, and a fast learner
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerBI
