About The Role
We are seeking a Fixed-Term (12 months) Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will:
- Transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.
- Shape how data is used within St Austell Brewery, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, timely, and relevant information.
- Collaborate closely with various teams to develop automated dashboards, improve data quality, and support data-driven initiatives.
- Champion proactive approaches to identifying process improvements and fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Data & Reporting
- Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports to support business performance insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver customised solutions.
- Ensure data quality through rigorous validation and cleansing processes.
Analytical & Strategic Support
- Support teams in interpreting data insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in data processes.
Data Infrastructure
- Champion the use of BI tools across the organisation, including training and support.
- Design, build, and optimise data warehouses to enhance analytics capabilities.
- Implement ETL/ELT processes to consolidate data from various sources into centralised systems.
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain documentation of data models, processes, and best practices for ongoing compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging BI technologies to drive innovation.
Requirements
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools.
- Robust accounting knowledge and practical experience with:
- Financial systems
- ERP software
- Accounting platforms
- Experience in SQL Server development, including:
- Writing complex queries
- Building and maintaining stored procedures
- Proven experince in:
- Designing and maintaining data warehouses
- Developing ETL/ELT processes
- Implementing data modelling techniques
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and analysis.
