Data Analyst
Senior Data Analyst (Contract) – £500–£700 per day | Outside IR35 | London
Allied with a customer-focused retail and hospitality business, we’re recruiting its first dedicated Senior Data Analyst. This is a ground-up opportunity to shape the company’s data strategy, working closely with senior leadership to drive evidence-based decision-making and commercial growth.
You’ll start by developing analytics workflows around data from property management, point-of-sale, and booking systems, building foundational reporting while laying the groundwork for a scalable data environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop customer segmentation models and strategies
- Analyse sales performance, covering:
- Pipeline conversion
- Sales velocity
- Lead source effectiveness
- Establish consistent revenue definitions and reporting metrics across multi-system environments
- Produce weekly executive trading reports and commercial performance dashboards
- Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to derive actionable insights
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and commercial decision-making*
- Play a foundational role in shaping the organisation’s future data and analytics capabilities

About You
This role suits an experienced Senior Data Analyst who thrives on autonomy, tailoring insights for senior stakeholders, and transforming data into impactful commercial recommendations.
Key Requirements:
- Strong commercial analytics background, ideally in hospitality, retail, or customer-centric sectors
- Proficient in SQL with advanced Excel skills
- Experience in customer segmentation, CRM analytics, and/or sales pipeline analysis
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, influential recommendations for leadership
- Exposure to property management systems (PMS), posties (POS), or similar operational databases
- A proactive mindset, comfortable shaping evolving processes and nanostructure data capability from scratch
