About IWSR
IWSR is the global authority on beverage alcohol data and intelligence. Now part of WGSN, the world's leading trends forecaster, IWSR has for over 50 years been trusted by the leaders of global beverage alcohol businesses as an integral part of their strategic planning and decision-making. We combine proprietary longitudinal market data, consumer insights and AI-enhanced data science with on-the-ground human intelligence across 160 markets. This helps clients, from multinational spirits, beer and wine businesses to packaging and ingredient manufacturers, distributors and financial institutions, understand the global beverage alcohol landscape with confidence.
About the role
Our Consulting team advises C-suite leaders across the world's biggest alcohol manufacturers and major domestic players, using our best-in-class database, global market expertise and world-class consumer research to shape strategic decisions. This is a newly created, early-career role, driven by sustained growth in demand for consulting and custom data analytics projects.
You'll work across live client projects from day one, turning complex quantitative data into clear, client-ready analysis and recommendations. It's a role built for someone genuinely curious about the 'why' behind the numbers, who takes pride in getting the details right, and who's happy to jump in and help wherever the team needs it. Over time, as you build your expertise, there's a clear path toward more senior analyst and client-facing responsibility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
