About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Opencast Software. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that meet client specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver innovative solutions that drive business success. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to work on complex projects in a fast-paced environment, utilizing the latest technologies and best practices in software development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with modern frameworks and technologies, including but not limited to Angular, React, Node.js, or.NET.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure software applications in accordance with project requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot software defects and performance issues, providing timely solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.
  • Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications, user manuals, and system configurations.
  • Assist in the integration of third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality.
  • Support deployment processes and provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing applications.
