About the Role

ATG Entertainment is seeking a technically skilled and analytically minded Finance Data Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team in London. This position serves as the bridge between Finance and Data Engineering, supporting the development of enterprise data solutions that improve financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and business intelligence.

As the Finance Data Analyst, you will manage finance data infrastructure, develop Power BI reporting solutions, maintain finance data quality, and collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Finance Product Owners, and Commercial Finance teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical capabilities who enjoys working with financial systems, enterprise data platforms, business intelligence tools, and emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Commercial Finance team and the Data Engineering team.
  • Translate finance business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
  • Manage the day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of the Global Finance Data Lake.
  • Support the Forecasting & Budgeting (FaB) platform, including user access, configuration, governance, and system administration.
  • Ensure high standards of finance data quality, integrity, accuracy, and governance.
  • Manage manual data feeds while supporting the transition toward automated data pipelines.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and financial reporting solutions.
  • Develop DAX measures, KPIs, and advanced financial reporting models.
  • Support ongoing development of Commercial Finance platforms, including:
    • TM1 Planning Analytics
    • Microsoft Fabric
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Troubleshoot finance systems and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives focused on automation, reporting modernization, and AI adoption.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support Commercial Finance leadership.
  • Document processes, promote best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, including:
    • Double-entry bookkeeping
    • Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting
    • Financial reporting concepts
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise data structures, data warehouses, and reporting architectures.
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power BI data modeling.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python (or willingness to develop advanced proficiency).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with experience handling complex financial datasets.
  • Understanding of finance systems, enterprise reporting, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, TM1 Planning Analytics, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in Artificial Intelligence, automation, and digital transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification is preferred.
  • Candidates with strong analytical or data backgrounds and excellent financial knowledge will also be considered.
  • Experience building Power BI dashboards using DAX.
  • Experience working with enterprise finance systems and business intelligence platforms.
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, HTML, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, TM1 Planning Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or enterprise data lake platforms is preferred.
  • Experience within hospitality, retail, leisure, consumer services, entertainment, or multi-site organizations is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation or reporting automation initiatives is highly desirable.
