Financial Markets Department covers both trading book and banking book activities for Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited. As a Data Analyst Financial Markets - Mandarin Speaking, you will be supporting the Sales team in delivering a wide range of financial products and services to clients. You play an important role in the department’s success by managing key operational and administrative functions. This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for data reconciliation and facilitate interaction with relevant internal departments and Head Office
  • Prepare high-quality data information regarding customer performance and market trends for both internal strategic use and external reporting
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all database enquiries from the Sales team and the Department
  • Assist in monitoring and analysing departmental KPIs
  • Monitor Counterparty Credit Risk and market risk indicators
  • Prepare presentations and various reporting for other departments and Management
  • Contribute to cross-departmental projects, managing internal and external liaison to ensure successful project delivery
  • Proactively identify and implement enhancements to working processes to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all operational activities strictly adhere to the Bank’s internal guidelines, regulatory policies and procedures

  • Degree educated in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant subject
  • Relevant experience in the Financial Services, ideally in Banking
  • Knowledge and familiarity with market data sources, such as Bloomberg and Reuters
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Excellent data analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly in the use of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organised with ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Desire to drive projects from ideation or assignment to execution
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Team player
