About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at TELUS Digital. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating impactful digital experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale projects that influence the digital landscape and improve the way our customers interact with TELUS services.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in software development, preferably in a cloud environment.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of database systems, APIs, and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient software solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Maintain and improve existing applications to enhance functionality and performance.
- Write clean, well-documented code and conduct thorough testing to ensure reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative technologies into projects.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and team workflows.
