Information Tech Consultants Ltd (ITC) is an IT management and consulting firm based in Central London. We specialise in sourcing and hiring field experts for a range of clients, primarily within Software and Cloud Hosted Services, as well as Mobile Apps and Service Companies.
Basic Requirements
- Job Title: Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer
- Location: UK (Candidates must be UK-based)
- Experience: 2–5 years
- Education: Master’s in Science (IT/Computer Science/Engineering)
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Technical Equivalent Qualification: Doctorate (PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative disciplines may be acceptable in lieu of a Master’s
- Legal Right to Work: Must hold legal status to work in the UK
- Availability: Willingness to travel within the UK as needed by projects/clients

Core Responsibilities & Skills
- Data Manipulation: 2–4 years of experience working with datasets of varying scales.
- Statistical & Machine Learning Modeling: Building models from initial coding to final deployment.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Mandatory experience coding in at least one of these languages.
- Hands-on experience preferred with C++— útil for algorithmic development.
- Machine Learning/Data Science: Experience in developing, refining, and deploying models.
- Fluency in English: Advanced written and spoken communication skills required.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Deep understanding of Generative AI, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Deep Learning.
- Facility working with large-scale datasets (Big Data).
- Background in Project Management— experience guiding cross-functional teams on ML projects highly desirable.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree: Required in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related IT fields.
- Experience: 2–4 years in Information Technology, with a focus on applied machine learning, data analytics, or quantitative research.
Customer-Facing Expectations
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication—critical for internal collaboration with clients.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including developers, engineers, product managers, and clients.
