Role Overview
Hawkroot is seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our remote team on a part-time basis. This internship is open to final-year students and recent graduates based in the UK who are looking to apply their analytical skills to real-world data projects and build practical experience in a professional environment.
Duration: 3 months
Working hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hourly rate: £16.00 per hour
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Location: United Kingdom
What You Will Do
- Collect, clean, and structure datasets to support ongoing analytical and reporting projects
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relevant sources
- Build and maintain dashboards and visual reports using Power BI or Tableau
- Support the preparation of data summaries and structured outputs for internal and client-facing use
- Conduct basic statistical analysis and present findings in a clear and accessible format
- Contribute to data quality checks and documentation of analytical processes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project outputs

What We Are Looking For
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Working knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to Python or R for data analysis through coursework, personal projects, or certifications
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation tools
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently in a remote setting
- Based in the United Kingdom or holding valid authorisation to work in the UK
