Role: Data Analyst

Location: London, UK
Type: Full-time (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, root causes, business opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Perform advanced data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL.
  • Work with large-scale datasets across cloud data platforms including GCP, Azure, AWS, BigQuery, and Databricks.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reports using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
  • Develop performance reporting frameworks and KPI dashboards for business stakeholders.
  • Measure and analyse customer journeys, digital product performance, platform health, operational KPIs, and service metrics.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, evidence-based recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present insights through effective data storytelling to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, consistency, and reporting quality across multiple data sources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and overall business performance through analytics.

Must Have Skills

1. Data Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify:
    • Trends
    • Root causes
    • Business opportunities
    • Actionable recommendations
  • Experience working with complex datasets and converting analysis into business insights.

2. Advanced SQL & Data Management

  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience querying and analysing large datasets.
  • Experience working with one or more cloud-based data platforms:
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • BigQuery
    • Databricks

3. Reporting & Data Visualisation

  • Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using one or more of:
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Qlik
    • Looker
  • Experience creating executive dashboards, operational reporting, and KPI visualisations.

4. Product & Digital Analytics

  • Experience measuring and analysing:
    • Customer journeys
    • Digital product performance
    • Platform health
    • Operational KPIs
    • Service metrics
  • Ability to identify optimisation opportunities through digital analytics.

5. Stakeholder Management & Data Storytelling

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a simple and compelling manner.
  • Strong experience influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders through evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

6. Business & Commercial Acumen

  • Strong understanding of how analytics drives:
    • Customer outcomes
    • Operational efficiency
    • Commercial performance
    • Business objectives
  • Ability to translate insights into measurable business impact and strategic recommendations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working within enterprise-scale digital transformation or customer experience programmes.
  • Experience in Telecom, Digital Products, Technology, or Customer Operations environments.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working and cross-functional product teams.
