About The Role

We are seeking a Fixed Term BI Analyst for a 12-month contract to join our team and deliver exceptional data-driven insights across our software delivery landscape. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making. You will work closely with various stakeholders to develop automated dashboards, enhance data quality, and support teams in understanding and interpreting their data effectively. Your proactive approach will help identify opportunities for process improvements, champion the adoption of BI tools, and foster a culture rooted in evidence-based decision making. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a reputable organization while honing your skills in a collaborative environment.

Strong proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly and concisely. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Solid accounting knowledge and practical experience in financial systems and processes. Demonstrable experience in SQL Server development, including writing complex queries and stored procedures. Proficiency in using financial systems and software, including ERP and accounting platforms. Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses for analytics purposes. Strong SQL skills, with knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling techniques. High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Transform raw data into meaningful insights through the development of automated dashboards and reports. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions. Enhance data quality by implementing validation procedures and data cleansing techniques. Support teams in interpreting data results and making informed decisions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within data workflows. Champion the use of BI tools across the organization to promote a data-driven culture. Design, build, and maintain data warehouses to facilitate comprehensive analytics. Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting requirements. Ensure data security and compliance with relevant policies and standards. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies to continually improve data capabilities.
